Estimator - FDOT/Public Roads

Location: West Palm Beach, Fl area

You're an Estimator Who Knows FDOT and Roadwork

Our client, a land development firm is looking for an Estimator in civil construction with both FDOT and Public Roads experience –someone who knows FDOT work cold — public roadways, bid packages, takeoffs, and specs.

A site contractor in West Palm Beach with deep roots in FDOT projects across South Florida, and has a pipeline that is strong — grading, base, paving, drainage, MOT , and more.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Reviewing and pricing FDOT roadway projects for bid and negotiated work
• Performing detailed takeoffs (Bluebeam or your preferred tool) for grading, base, paving, drainage, MOT , and more
• Calling vendors and subs who you’ve probably worked with before — and negotiating
• Communicating clearly and confidently — with our PMs, owners, and municipalities

We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in civil estimating FDOT/public roadway projects
• Working knowledge of FDOT standards, specs, and pay items
• Comfort with public bid processes , including fast deadlines and complete packages
• Proficiency preferred in softwares: Bid2Win/HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, Heavy Bid, Agtek
• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Prefer local candidates or those relocating specifically to West Palm Beach.
• This is an on-site role.

Salary : $120-$150k, health insurance, 401K, paid holidays, PTO
