The Role

Our Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Consulting Principal to join our journey.

We’re looking for a Consulting Principal who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consulting Principal (which is an Associate Director level position) this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues. Responsibilities

• Consulting engagements: Lead strategic consulting engagements in the utilities domain, focusing on digital transformation, customer experience enhancement, and operational efficiencies
• Client interaction: Serve as a primary client contact for senior executives, building trusted advisory relationships and ensuring alignment with client business objectives
• Strategy development: Develop and execute strategies to improve client business performance, drive revenue growth, and support customer-centric transformation initiatives
• Project management: Manage project teams, guiding junior members and ensuring project delivery meets quality, timeline, and budgetary expectations
• Business development: Lead business development activities by identifying new opportunities, crafting proposals, and representing the utilities practice in sales pursuits
• Thought leadership: Actively contribute to thought leadership, staying current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the utilities sector
• Team development: Drive team development and growth by mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment

Desired Skillset:

• Deep industry expertise in digital customer engagement and operations, connected energy services, and customer platforms
• Strong functional skills in SAP ISU, with at least 3 end-to-end implementations in SAP ISU
• Ability to lead teams and interact with business leadership on a regular basis
• Skilled in promoting the benefits of business case development to stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior consultants

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Management degree strongly preferred

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 27 th , 2025 .

The annual salary for this position is between $122,400.00 – $194,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
