Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join our team, supporting legal and transactional functions related to commercial and residential real estate projects. The ideal candidate will bring over eight years of experience managing real estate transactions from a law firm, real estate company, or development firm, with deep knowledge of the full transaction lifecycle including contracts, title/survey review, due diligence, and closings. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract to close.
• Prepare, review, and revise legal documents including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, closing binders, and loan documents.
• Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, lien searches, and zoning compliance.
• Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, lenders, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely closings.
• Maintain and track transaction checklists and key dates; ensure all deliverables are completed.
• Assist with entity formation, document management, and corporate governance related to real estate projects.
• Support litigation or regulatory processes as needed with document preparation and filings.
• Maintain organized digital and physical files related to real estate matters.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years of paralegal experience focused on real estate transactions.
• Prior work experience in a law firm, real estate company, or real estate development company is required.
• Strong understanding of Texas real estate laws, title insurance, closing processes, and related documentation.
• Proficient with legal research tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-stakes transactions simultaneously.
• Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience supporting large-scale real estate developments or investment transactions.
• Familiarity with Houston-area municipalities, zoning, and permitting processes.
• Notary Public (Texas) designation is a plus.
